FLORIDA’S FOURTH DOWN BRAVERY RESULTS IN POINTS
The Gators went for it on fourth down for the fourth time today. This time on a 4th and 3 in the red zone. Anthony Richardson hit Keon Zipperer to convert, and a few plays later it’s Richardson scoring from a yard out on a QB sneak. That was a must-have drive from the Gators who couldn’t afford to come away without point considering how little their defense has done to stop Tennessee lately. It’s a 12-play, 75-yard drive and it’s now 24-21 Tennessee just under the 6-minute mark of the third quarter.

TENNESSEE WASTES NO TIME
Well, OK, it wasted a little time as a holding call on Gerald Mincey negated a Hendon Hooker TD run, but the Vols scored a play later, so it didn’t matter. Hooker hit Jabari Small for a 16-yard TD to go up 24-14 on the first drive of the second half. The Vols went 73 yards in 10-plays, and have now scored touchdowns on three of their last four possession. In fact, the only possessions Tennessee hasn’t scored on today are the ones that ended with fumbles.

Tennessee will start the third quarter at the UT 27 following a nice kick return from Jimmy Holliday.

TENNESSEE IS BACK IN THE END ZONE
The Vols hit paydirt with seven seconds left in the first half. Hendon Hooker hits Bru McCoy for a two-yard touchdown toss in the back of the end zone to put the Vols up 17-14. The Vols went 99 yards on 12 plays in only 2:43! Hendon Hooker is up to 248 yards passing and 65 yards rushing. What’s more important is that Tennessee will get the ball to start the third quarter. That means they’ll have a chance to go from down four to up two scores before Florida touches the ball again.

WE’VE HAD OUR FIRST PUNT
The Tennessee defense helps out its offense by holding the Gators to only 12 yards on its possession following the turnover on downs. The Vols get teh ball back at the UT 1 with 3 timeouts and 2:50 on the clock. It’ll be interesting to see how aggressive they get here.
